Homeowner Growing Tips: Peppers can be harvested at young or mature stages. The longer the fruit is left on the plant the more flavor (or heat) it has. Hot peppers grown under some water stress or high heat and humidity will be hotter than those grown under moderate conditions. Peppers are up to 10x hotter when dried. Pick often for continuous harvest. Grow in moist, well-drained soil.
