Osteospermum
Just love this plant!!
Vibrant 'Voltage™ Yellow' shouts SPRING! It's the first osteo in bloom and the last out of bloom. 'Voltage™ Yellow' features a mounded habit that is ideal for large baskets and containers. The low habit and high-impact color make it a standout in landscapes.
Voltage™ Yellow received very good overall ratings in Summer 2009 trials including University of Georgia, Mississippi State University, and University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Uses: Containers, Landscape, Mass Plantings, Borders
Growth Habit: Mounding
Homeowner Growing Tips: Deadheading not necessary for continuous bloom. Plants will "bury their dead" (new flowers will quickly cover old flowers) so no deadheading necessary. Osteospermum do not like having wet feet and will react badly to constantly wet soil. Be sure to allow soil in containers to get dry on top before watering and only plant in ground beds with good drainage. While it shouldn't be necessary you can trim your plants with a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears at any time.
