Offering the best mildew resistance among today's cultivars, this series of dwarf Monarda grow in floriferous, compact forms with lance-shaped dark green leaves. Summer brings bright, magenta-pink flowers that are loved by hummingbirds and butterflies. U.S. native.

Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in full sun, preferably, or dappled shade. Avoid crowding. Plant in moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Amend with compost before planting. Water new plantings regularly to establish. Thereafter, do not allow plants to dry out in summer. Deadhead after flowering for rebloom. In early spring, cut old foliage to the ground; divide every 3-4 years at this time, if desired. Apply a balanced all-purpose fertilizer (e.g., 10-10-10) in spring when growth resumes.
