Homeowner Growing Tips: Oriental lilies prefer full sun with the base of the plant in shade. Grow in well-drained soil; amend with compost before planting, and mulch afterward. When actively growing, apply a high-potassium liquid fertilizer every two weeks. Spent flowers may be trimmed off after blooming; cut the plant to the ground in autumn.
A very well formed and healthy plant arrived early this spring. After planting we had some cooler temps (in the 40's) but it continued to thrive. It tall, filled out nicely and showing excellent progress. I can't wait to see these lovely flowers.
