Liatris spicata 'Kobold Original'

$16.99

Pot Size: 5.25 Inch Square Pot

  • Great for an upright accent to mounding perennials
  • More compact variety
  • A big favorite of the butterflies

Outstanding spikes of rose-lavender flowers open from the top down in early summer. The foliage is green, narrow, and opposite. It is deer resistant, attracts butterflies, and makes a great cut flower. A fantastic plant that adds vibrant color and excellent stature to the garden. One of the best perennials for the sunny border.

Uses: Borders, Cottage Gardens, Flower Beds, Landscapes, Mass Planting, Naturalizing, Prairie Gardens, Wildflower Gardens
Nature Attraction: Butterflies, Bees, Pollinators
Critter Resistance: Deer
Notable Features: Cut Flower, Native
Growth Habit: Upright

Homeowner Growing Tips: Plant in full sun. Grow in moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Dislikes heavy soil, which may cause it to rot over winter.

The plants arrived carefully packaged and in great condition. I could not put them in immediately but kept them watered and in dappled shade. They are happily blooming in my garden today. Couldn't be happier with this plant purchase.

Planted in full sun and the blooms have been relatively uneven but the plant seems to be hearty. Nice color.
The real test will be if they bloom this next spring.

My plants were shipped across country to Oregon in two boxes. the only hitch was that the shipping company decided to put the boxes on different trucks. Despite that the plants all arrived in good condition, due largely to the care taken in preparing them for shipping at Romence.
These plants have done very well in my garden and have reached full size this season.

Very pleased with this selection due to its shorter height that fits with my garden scheme. The foliage is very pretty.
