Gorgeous deep purple flowers have a yellow and white blaze with black veining. They are deer and rabbit resistant, have good disease resistance, and attract hummingbirds. Homeowner Growing Tips: Siberian Irises are low maintenance and adaptable to most garden conditions. Grow in full sun to partial shade. They prefer moist, well-drained, neutral to slightly acidic soils. Amend with compost when planting. A light mulch may be used, if applied in a thin layer in spring. Fertilize with granular bulb food in early spring and after flowering; scratch into the top inch or two of the soil. Divide plants every three years, in early spring or late summer.
