Hosta 'Yellow Polka Dot Bikini' has slightly folding leaves that curve inward from the edges. The foliage is a light green color along the edges, with a dark green color in the center. There is a very thin white line that divides the edge and center colors. Stems with purple flowers above the foliage emerge in summer.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Hostas grow best in moist, well drained, sandy soils, were the roots can get plenty of aeration. Prefer full shade but can tolerate a little morning sun, but most afternoon suns will burn and kill the leaves of the hosta.

Divide large clumps, if necessary, in spring when sprouts appear, or late summer. Remove dead foliage from the garden in late fall to early winter.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let soil get moist/dry before watering. Do not let dry out, but also can not be soaked or waterlogged.
