The dramatic foliage provides nice contrast among hostas and other medium-greens. The plants I installed this season are holding their own with minimal transplant shock and look likely to survive the winter.
Cimicifuga ramosa 'Pink Spike'
- Terrific accent plant for damp or shady areas
- Fragrant flowers at nose-height, late in the season
- Use to add a dash of color amongst Hostas, or in a cottage or woodland garden
Cimicifuga ramosa 'Pink Spike' has the same great growth habit of other Bugbane except with more color to the blooms. The pink tinged bottlebrush flowers bloom above the purple-bronze, deeply cut foliage. Looks good en mass and also as a specimen plant when mature. A tall beautiful plant for shade.
