To add rich color and great texture to the garden, try Cimicifuga 'Chocoholic'. It has dark purple foliage and mauve-pink, bottle-brush flowers that float above the plant in mid to late summer. The flowers begin to turn white as they age.  It will make an elegant lacy backdrop in the landscape.
