Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in full sun to partial shade, in average, well-drained soils. Provide consistant moisture, but avoid soggy conditions; must have excellent drainage to overwinter. Best in cool climates; in warmer climates, provide afternoon shade. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous bloom; flower stalks can be cut to the base when all flowers on it have faded. Otherwise, occasional re-seeding may occur. Divide every 3-4 years.
