Decadence® Series Baptisias are ideal for smaller gardens because of their shorter stature, and 'Sparkling Sapphires' boasts a show-stoppingly vibrant violet blue flower in late spring. The seed pods that develop immediately after blooming is finished create a beautiful touch that persists into fall. With its easy care requirements, drought tolerance, and deer resistance, Baptisia 'Sparkling Sapphires' is an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a low-maintenance perennial.

Homeowner Growing Tips: Easy to grow in average to poor soil that is well-drained. Best in full sun, but it will tolerate light shade. If grown in too much shade it will need to be staked. Moderately drought tolerant once established, which may take a couple seasons. Cut back in spring, or whenever it gets flattened by autumn or winter weather. A long-lived plant; avoid disturbing the clump once established.
