Aruncus aethusifolius
Pot Size: 5.25 Inch Square Pot
Aruncus dioicus looks like a giant Astilbe. The 8"-12" long stalks of creamy white flowers appear above the robust foliage in lacy plumes. Goat's Beard makes a good specimen plant and can be used in place of a shrub in the garden.
Uses: Border or Specimen Plant
Critter Resistance: Deer
Growth Habit: Upright/Mounding
Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in well-drained soil with moderate to high levels of moisture.
When my original Goatsbeard (Aruncus dioicus) died after 20 years, I was excited to get a new one from Romence Gardens. It has always been a favorite plant of mine with its beautiful, airy flowers. I have it planted among large-leaf blue hostas and oakleaf hydrangeas, and it looks great!
